Once a promising female MC, the past few years for Inga Marachand, aka Foxy Brown, have been nothing but trouble as the Brooklyn MC has faced numerous court cases and charges, many of them involving assault. This past week was no different for Foxy, as the troubled starlet turned herself in to NYPD and now faces charges of assault and probation violation after allegedly hitting her Brooklyn NY neighbor with her Blackberry cellphone, all stemming from an argument involving Foxy's car stereo.
According to the New York Daily News, the events which preceded the assault occured after Foxy and another female, Arleen Raymond became involved in an argument after Raymond confronted Foxy over her loud car stereo in their Prospect Heights neighborhood in Brooklyn, NY. The "bad blood" continued after Foxy appeared at a local drug store at which Raymond worked as a cashier, hurling such insults as "Your a low life bi**h," and "F** you! You work at a pharmacy, you'll never be nothing!" On July 30, 2007, while walking home, Foxy then allegedly followed Raymond and threw her Blackberry cellphone at her, causing Raymond to suffer such injuries as several loose teeth and facial swelling.
Jack Ryan, spokesman for the NY's Probation Department has filed a formal charge of probation violation, stating: "We have filed a violation of probation charge with the court."
In addition to this case, Foxy is currently on probation for assaulting 2 manicurists at Manhattan's Bloomie Nails in 2004, and also faces assault charges in Florida for allegedly spitting and assaulting an employee at a beauty supply store. Judge Melissa Jackson, who already warned Foxy Brown to stay out of trouble or face a year in jail, will oversee Foxy's probation hearing.
