Legendary MC KRS One seems to be heading for a comeback as the rapper recently inked a deal with the home of rap group Black Moon, Duck Down Records, while Black Moon frontman Buckshot is currently in the studio, working on the new studio album "The Formula." |

Seen by many as one of the greatest rappers of all time, KRS One has remained behind the scenes for the last several years, appearing as a featured guest on several tracks, but nothing that would suggest the legendary mc's official status to return to the game. Well in a recent interview with XXLmag.com, Buckshot, the frontman for the 90's rap group Black Moon revealed that KRS One is in fact coming back to the industry, and has signed a deal with his label Duck Down Records.
In a statement given to XXLmag.com, Buckshot stated: "Yeah, we just signed KRS-One to Duck Down. He’s on my label now. We’re going hard, as far as production wise.”
In addition to signing KRS One, fans will be happy to know that Buckshot is also working on a new studio album with superproducer 9th Wonder, entitled "The Formula." In regards to the upcoming project, Buckshot explained: "It’s a whole different time. It’s a different scene. It’s a reflection of what needs to
be said and it’s my manifestation. I’m trying to show people that I’m
actually greater at what I do then what is perceived when I come up
with concepts and stories. The things I do lyrically on this album
aren’t easy. That’s the whole point of hip-hop, to do what’s not easy.”
"The Formula" has been slated for a fall 2007 release.
