For the past several years, it seems as if NY rapper Saigon has been steadily preparing his debut album "The Greatest Story Never Told." Although the streets and industry insiders see Saigon as a true MC capable of stardom, not much has been made of his lyrical abilities outside of several mixtape appearances and street singles. Refusing to follow in the footsteps of fellow MC Papoose, who has yet to drop a debut album, fans will be happy to know that the highly anticipated debut album from Saigon, "The Greatest Story Never Told," has finally been given a release date of December 4, 2007.
In a recent phone interview with MTV, Saigon explained his feelings about releasing the album in the 4th quarter of 2007: "I feel good about the timing, and I'm totally confident about coming in the fourth quarter with the big dogs."
Outside of readying his debut album, Saigon has also found himself in the news, as well as various You-Tube videos for his recent run-in with Mobb Deep at SOB's in New York City, as well as his highly publicized feud with producer Just Blaze. Although Saigon and Just Blaze buried their differences over Sai's first single "Come On Baby," and have since collaborated on his debut album, it has yet to be seen or determined whether the events surrounding Saigon and Mobb Deep will have any impact on the up and coming rapper.
