"India Splendor" To Be Held In Los Angeles CA This Fall |

In celebration of India's 60th Independence Day Anniversary, Los Angeles CA will host "India Splendor," a cultural event designed to showcase Indian arts, business, technology, and Bollywood cinema. |

Coinciding with the 60th anniversary of India's independence, a mega event focusing primarily on Indian cinema will be organized in Los Angeles CA this fall. The event called "India Splendor" will be held from
August 10-15, 2007, and besides Bollywood cinema, it will also showcase Indian arts,
business, technology and spirituality, and reported entertainment portal

The Indian extravaganza is being organized by the
New Delhi-based MCorp Global group in association with International
Creative Management (ICM) talent agency and the UCLA School of Theatre,
Film and Television. Bhupendra Kumar Modi, chairman of MCorp Global explained: "Our vision has been to bring all the
facets of Indian culture, including our booming film industry, to the
US in jointly celebrating this momentous mark in history."
The idea
behind the event is to make Indian culture more accessible to US
audiences. Prominent Hollywood-based non-resident Indian film producer
Ashok Amritraj has been chosen as the event's cultural ambassador. Jeffrey Berg, ICM chairman and chief executive also explained: "Indian
cinema is an important force, and we are pleased to help lead an
exchange of ideas and artistic expression between filmmakers from
Mumbai to Los Angeles."
Although the guestlist for the event is still unknown, rumors have been circulating that prominent Bollywood film stars may be in attendence.
