This past week, rumors were flying in Bombay India that Bollywood's beloved star Rani Mukerjee and film-maker Aditya Chopra wed in a secret ceremony this past Monday, closed to the public and held only for their closest friends and family. Well close friend, film-maker Karan Johar who was reportedly in attendance, recently explained he knew nothing about any ceremony, and close friends Kirren Kher and husband Anupam reiterated the same thing.
"I was supposed to be at Aditya Chopra's engagement" said Anupam, "And I don't even know about it. Wow! Let me tell you, neither my wife nor I ever attended any such function. Because no engagement happened. I can say that with 5000% certainty."
Rani Mukherjee and Aditya Chopra have been together for almost a year now, with Aditya coming under scrutiny from his family for divorcing from his wife Payal Khanna to pursue Rani. Rani has appeared in such Bollywood films as "Kuch Kuch Hota Hai," "Veer Zara," and "Saathiya," while Aditya has directed such films as the 1995 blockbuster hit "Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge," and the critically acclaimed 2000 film "Mohabatbatein," as well as produced such films as "Bunty Aur Babli," and the 2006 hit film "Fanaa."
