Kanye West - Alter EgoWith all the buzz for his new album, "Graduation," it was only a matter of time before someone created the next Kanye West mixtape. DJ LRM does just that, and more. With interviews from the artist, woven expertly through a cavalcade of beats, to exclusive remixes. Rarely do the mixes sound offbeat or forced, which leads to pleasurable listening all the way through. While some may claim that this is just a faccimile of his recent "Can't Tell me Nothin" mixtape, it does enough to differentiate itself even while sharing quite a bit of the content, such as the track "I Can make You Famous," a blend of "Overnight Celebrity" over Lloyd's "Get It Shawty" beat. Another interesting mix up is the beat for the Clipse's "Cot-Damn" with his song from College Dropout "Get Em High." It may sound like a weird concept now, but believe me it works. All in all, this isn't the perfect mixtape, but it does satiate a Kanye West's fan need until "Graduation" drops later this summer.

Lil Wayne - The Carter Meets The CartelDJ's. I'm serious. I know you're lining your pockets nicely, but quit it with the Lil Wayne mixtapes. This is LITERALLY the 30th+ something mixtape with his same face, same "exclusives," and same shit that you have all been cramming down people's throats for the past months. You know things are getting bad when Wayne junkies are getting sick and tired of seeing people recycle old content just to make a buck. The majority of these songs (and by majority I mean 90%) have been on other pieces of work, or his own OFFICIAL mixtapes such as "The Drought" already. I repeat to you DJ's. Stop making recycled Weezy F. Baby mixtapes.

Hell Rell - Eat With Me or Eat A Box Of BulletsHell Rell comes out of left field with one of the most surprisingly hot mixtapes of the year. Hell Rell & Diplomats present "Eat With Me or Eat Bullets" is equivalent to a third degree burn- it's that hot. While some may say that Rell's one dimensionalism hinders his ability to appeal to a huge audience, his street listeners love to he never strays far away from the gritty, cyanide-laced bars that they love. From "Streets Keep Calling Me," to "Send some Shooters," to the infectious "You Know What It Is" feat. Grand Hustle's Young Dro, Rell keeps things as hot as his first name suggests. While the track "Fix Your Face" may be a bit of an oxymoron (think hard kiddies), its his penchant for simple, (but catchy) hooks that will lure you in, and keep you listening. No-One even expected Rell to drop a mixtape this year, especially not one with this much heat on it. So Either Eat With Rell, or EAT SOME BULLETS!
