Arsenal & Liverpool snubbed by Bayern Munich winger over summer transfer
Bayern Munich winger Leroy Sane is reported to have rejected approaches from both Arsenal and Liverpool in favour of extending his stay in the Bundesliga. Sane's current contract expires this summer and it was claimed earlier in the season that, as part of Bayern's desire to part ways with at least one winger, he could be sacrificed after failing to hold down a regular spot in Vincent Kompany's starting lineup. Free to be approached by clubs, Sane has received interest from Arsenal, whose manager, Mikel Arteta, worked with the German at Manchester City. Manchester United were speculatively linked and reports of interest from Liverpool emerged earlier this year. In the face of the interest in his services, Sane is believed to have agreed an extension with Bayern.
