Man City 'Offer' £147m to Re-Sign Chelsea Star Cole Palmer

Manchester City have tabled a stunning £147m bid to re-sign Chelsea star Cole Palmer, according to Fichajes.net.

The Cityzens have already been very busy in the transfer window this summer after securing the arrivals of Tijjani Reijnders, Rayan Cherki, Rayan Ait-Nouri and wonderkid Sverre Nypan, as Pep Guardiola looks to bolster his squad following a disappointing 2024/25 campaign in which they finished trophyless.

After legendary midfielder Kevin De Bruyne left the club for Napoli following the expiry of his contract, City are keen to add more creativity to the squad and have identified former academy star Palmer as the perfect option.

Chelsea not interested in selling

Palmer, who was described as 'world-class' by David Luiz, has been the star man at Stamford Bridge since his £40m move to London two summers ago, emerging as one of the best players in the Premier League.

Now City are ready to pay up to rectify the mistake they made by letting him leave, with a report stating they have made a mega bid to bring him back to the Etihad Stadium this summer.

Palmer is said to be very happy at Chelsea and the Blues have zero interest in selling their star man after recently being crowned Club World Cup champions, while they also qualified for the Champions League for the 2025/26 season and handed Palmer a new contract that will run until 2033.

But City are ready to make a record-breaking attempt to convince them otherwise, and add him to the ranks alongside Phil Foden, Cherki, Savinho, Omar Marmoush and Jeremy Doku as attacking options.

City are also looking at a deal to re-sign another former academy star in Burnley goalkeeper James Trafford, with Galatasaray pushing for an agreement to sign Brazilian star Ederson this summer.

The club have a buy-back clause in place for the goalkeeper worth around £40m but want to do a deal for slightly less, and will only bring him in if Ederson or Stefan Ortega-Moreno depart.
